Ingredients

  • 4 (6 oz each) salmon fillets
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • Chopped fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. 1. Pat salmon fillets dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika. Set aside.
  2. 2. In a small saucepan, combine honey, olive oil, minced garlic, apple cider vinegar, red pepper flakes, lemon juice, and butter. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the butter melts and the glaze is smooth and well combined, about 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat.
  3. 3. Preheat the broiler and adjust the oven rack to the middle position (not the top - the glaze will burn if too close to the heat).
  4. 4. Place the seasoned salmon fillets on a foil-lined, oven-safe baking sheet or skillet, skin side down. Brush generously with about half of the hot honey glaze.
  5. 5. Broil for 5-6 minutes, then remove and brush with the remaining glaze. Broil for another 2-3 minutes until the salmon is caramelized and flakes easily with a fork.
  6. 6. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and serve immediately with a wedge of lemon.
