Blue Hawaii

Created in 1957 at the Hilton Hawaiian Village in Waikiki. Light rum, vodka, blue curaçao, and pineapple juice create a stunning electric-blue tropical cocktail. Sweet, fruity, and visually striking — a tiki party staple.

Ingredients

  • 3/4 oz light rum
  • 3/4 oz vodka
  • 1/2 oz blue curaçao
  • 3 oz pineapple juice
  • 1 oz sweet and sour mix (or 1/2 oz lemon + 1/2 oz simple syrup)
  • Pineapple wedge and cherry for garnish

Instructions

  1. 1. Add all ingredients to a shaker with ice.
  2. 2. Shake vigorously for 15 seconds.
  3. 3. Strain into a hurricane glass filled with crushed ice.
  4. 4. Garnish with a pineapple wedge and cherry on a cocktail pick.
  5. 5. Optionally blend with ice for a frozen version.
