Blue Hawaiian

A creamier cousin of the Blue Hawaii — rum, blue curaçao, pineapple juice, and coconut cream blended into a tropical blue slush. The coconut adds a velvety texture the Blue Hawaii doesn't have. A quintessential Hawaiian tiki drink.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 oz light rum
  • 1/2 oz blue curaçao
  • 2 oz pineapple juice
  • 1 oz cream of coconut (Coco López)
  • 1 cup crushed ice
  • Pineapple wedge and cherry for garnish

Instructions

  1. 1. Add all ingredients to a blender with crushed ice.
  2. 2. Blend on high for 15-20 seconds until smooth.
  3. 3. Pour into a hurricane glass.
  4. 4. Garnish with a pineapple wedge and cherry. Serve with a straw.
  5. ON THE ROCKS VERSION: Shake with ice, strain over fresh ice.
