Three Dots and a Dash
Created by Don the Beachcomber in WWII — the name is Morse code for 'V' (Victory). Aged rum, honey, falernum, allspice, and citrus, garnished with three maraschino cherries (dots) and a pineapple spear (dash). A complex, spiced tiki classic.

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 oz aged rum (Appleton Estate 12 or similar)
- 1/2 oz rhum agricole (or extra aged rum)
- 1/2 oz honey syrup (1:1 honey and water)
- 1/2 oz falernum
- 1/4 oz allspice dram
- 3/4 oz fresh lime juice
- 1/4 oz fresh orange juice
- 3 dashes Angostura bitters
- 3 maraschino cherries and 1 pineapple spear for garnish
Instructions
- 1. Add all ingredients to a shaker with crushed ice.
- 2. Shake vigorously for 15 seconds.
- 3. Pour unstrained into a tiki mug or rocks glass.
- 4. Add more crushed ice to fill.
- 5. Garnish with 3 cherries (dots) and 1 pineapple spear (dash). Serve with a straw.
