A crisp, tart gin cocktail with just three ingredients — gin, fresh lime juice, and simple syrup. Originally made with Rose's Lime Cordial in the early 1900s for British sailors (lime prevented scurvy). Modern versions use fresh lime for a brighter, more vibrant drink.

Ingredients
- 2 oz gin (London dry or citrus-forward like Hendrick's)
- 3/4 oz fresh lime juice
- 1/2 oz simple syrup
- Lime wheel for garnish
Instructions
- 1. Add gin, lime juice, and simple syrup to a shaker with ice.
- 2. Shake vigorously for 10-15 seconds.
- 3. Strain into a chilled coupe or rocks glass.
- 4. Garnish with a lime wheel.
