An equal-parts Prohibition classic revived in the 2000s at Seattle's Zig Zag Cafe. Gin, Green Chartreuse, maraschino liqueur, and lime juice — herbal, tart, complex, and perfectly balanced. Chartreuse devotees consider this one of the finest cocktails ever invented.

Ingredients
- 3/4 oz gin
- 3/4 oz Green Chartreuse
- 3/4 oz maraschino liqueur (Luxardo)
- 3/4 oz fresh lime juice
- Luxardo cherry for garnish
Instructions
- 1. Add all ingredients to a shaker with ice.
- 2. Shake vigorously for 15 seconds.
- 3. Double-strain into a chilled coupe glass.
- 4. Garnish with a Luxardo cherry.
