Irish Raktajino

A Klingon coffee meets Irish coffee — the Star Trek DS9 Raktajino reimagined as a spiked coffee cocktail. Whiskey, espresso, milk, and smoked paprika for an earthy, spicy kick. Imagine Miles O'Brien and Worf concocting this when the blood wine runs out. Smells like Kronos.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 oz Irish whiskey
  • 2 oz fresh espresso (or strong brewed coffee)
  • 1/2 oz simple syrup
  • 1 oz whole milk (or cream)
  • Pinch of smoked paprika
  • Whipped cream for garnish

Instructions

  1. 1. Brew espresso and keep hot.
  2. 2. In a heatproof Irish coffee glass, combine whiskey, espresso, and simple syrup. Stir.
  3. 3. Warm the milk and gently pour on top to create a layer.
