Pink Lady

A Prohibition-era classic — gin, applejack, lemon, and grenadine, with egg white for silkiness. Pretty in pink and deceptively strong. Popular in the 1920s-30s speakeasies.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 oz gin
  • 1/2 oz applejack (or apple brandy)
  • 1/2 oz fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 oz grenadine
  • 1 egg white
  • Lemon twist for garnish

Instructions

  1. 1. Add all ingredients to a shaker.
  2. 2. Dry shake (no ice) for 15 seconds.
  3. 3. Add ice and shake again for 15 seconds.
  4. 4. Double-strain into a chilled coupe glass.
  5. 5. Garnish with a lemon twist.
