Sangria
Spain's famous wine punch — red wine, brandy, orange liqueur, fruit, and soda. Served in a pitcher for sharing. Perfect for summer parties and barbecues. The word comes from 'sangre' (blood) for its red color.

Ingredients
- 1 bottle dry red wine (Tempranillo or Rioja)
- 1/4 cup brandy
- 1/4 cup triple sec or orange liqueur
- 1/4 cup simple syrup (adjust to taste)
- 1 orange, sliced
- 1 lemon, sliced
- 1 lime, sliced
- 1 apple, diced
- 1 cup club soda (chilled)
Instructions
- 1. In a large pitcher, combine red wine, brandy, triple sec, and simple syrup.
- 2. Add the sliced fruit and diced apple.
- 3. Stir well and refrigerate for at least 2 hours (overnight is better).
- 4. Just before serving, add club soda and ice.
- 5. Pour into wine glasses, making sure each glass gets some fruit.
- 6. Serves 6-8.
