Poison Apple Halloween Cocktail
A wickedly green, smoking Halloween cocktail that looks like it came straight from a witch's cauldron. Vodka and sour apple schnapps create an electric green color, with dry ice for a spooky smoking effect. Three ingredients, five minutes, and guaranteed to stop people mid-conversation.

Ingredients
- 2 oz vodka
- 1 oz sour apple schnapps
- 2 oz sour apple mixer (or sour apple pucker)
- Crushed ice
- Dry ice (for smoking effect — optional, see safety note)
- Green sanding sugar (for rim)
- Fresh apple slice (for garnish)
- SAFETY: If using dry ice, never place it directly in the drink — use it in a separate container beneath the glass, or use a small piece with tongs and never consume it directly.
Instructions
- 1. Rim a martini glass: dip the rim in a little water or simple syrup, then press into green sanding sugar on a plate.
- 2. Fill a cocktail shaker with crushed ice.
- 3. Add vodka, sour apple schnapps, and sour apple mixer to the shaker.
- 4. Shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds until well chilled.
- 5. Strain into the sugar-rimmed glass.
- 6. Garnish with a thin apple slice on the rim.
- 7. For the smoking cauldron effect: place the drink on a platter. Using tongs, drop a small piece of dry ice into a separate bowl or cup behind the cocktail glass (never in the drink itself). The fog will cascade around the glass for a theatrical presentation.
- 8. Serve immediately. The electric green color and apple flavor make this the showstopper of any Halloween party.
